Virginia R. Gollattscheck, a native of Mobile and a longtime resident of Baldwin County, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Rappé; and brother, George Rappé.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph C. Gollattscheck of Bay Minette; parents, Carl and Elizabeth Ezell of Fairhope; three children, Vickie Brown of Mobile, Patrick (Brenda) Brown of Gladewater, Texas, and Terry Brown of Amesbury, Mass.; two sisters, Diann (John) Ford of Picayune, Miss., and Tracey Lambert of Bay Minette;brother, Carl (Carol) Ezell, Jr. of Picayune, Miss.; five step-children, Kathy Loffredo of Miami, Cheryl Schiffler of Fayetteville, N.C., Dianna Gollattscheck of Fayetteville, Vickie Elders of Arab, and Joseph Gollattscheck of Miami; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the professionals and staff of Surgical Associates of the Eastern Shore, Family Practice Associates, Thomas Hospital, Golden Living Center, and AseraCare Hospice.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Children's Tumor Foundation, 95 Pine St. 16th Floor, New York, NY 10005.
