Marjorie B. Godwin, 53, a native of Abbeville and a resident of the Pine Grove Community of Bay Minette, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
She was an associate of Zoom Services for 10 years. She enjoyed the many wonderful customers she served.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Ann Brown; infant sons, Donald Benjamin Baugh, Douglas Edward Baugh and Kevin Wayne Baugh.
Survivors include her husband, Marion E. Godwin of Bay Minette; a son, Justin Ross (Dianna) Mayo of McIntosh; three daughters, Julia Danielle (Adam) Roe of Loxley, Kristina Baugh of Panama City, Fla., and Beverly (Jamie) New of Tupelo, Miss.; her parents Winston Lee and Julia Mae Boddie of Saraland, her mother- and father-in-law, Beverly and Jessie Godwin of Bay Minette; four brothers, Ben (Johnett) Brown and David Brown, both of Opelika, Ricky (Jeannie) Kennedy of Lexington, S.C., and Buddie (Diane) Brown of Saraland; seven sisters, Linda (Sam Slayton) McKee of Fairhope, Judy (Melvin) Aucoin and Dianne (Jimmy) Goodman, both of Grove Hill, Eugenea (John) Bartram of Axis, Debbie (John) Middleton of Thomasville, Angie (Robert) Sims of Theodore and Jennifer (Willis) Weekley of Axis; 12 grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life service was held Saturday, Aug. 23 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Wade Turner officiating. Burial followed at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Ryan Gates, Scott Smyly, Scott McKee, Randy White, Patrick Goodman and Brian Goodman.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
