ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — A Congratulations to Glinda Pope of the Perdido Beach Resort on being selected as the July recipient of the Chamber’s Island Spirit Award. Glinda was honored in a surprise presentation that included members of the Island Spirit Committee as well as Mayor Tony Kennon and City Administrator Ken Grimes of the City of Orange Beach.

In presenting the award, Island Spirit Chair Nora Mandoki cited Glinda’s “sweet outpouring spirit, huge smile, and ability to speak to restaurant customers in a manner that makes you feel like you’re talking to your grandma.

“Glinda has a personality that loves everyone and everyone she meets knows it. She represents us well to our island visitors, and her omelets are great too!”
