Getting prepped to party: Hangout MusicFest staging transforms the beach

Photojournalist Michelle Stancil has been busy documenting the stage construction and event preparation for the 2013 Hangout MusicFest in Gulf Shores. In addition to the main stage superstructure, sound & effects board and light standards, you'll see the event's now well-known VIP pool and ferris wheel.

Hangout 'Fest' acts kick off Friday, with VH1 and MTV streaming live video on their websites. A Thursday Kickoff Party will also feature 14 acts throughout the afternoon and evening. Stay tuned for additional coverage and photos.
