ORANGE BEACH — The halls have been decked and the night is bright with the holiday spirit at The Wharf.
The annual ‘Winter at The Wharf’ is more than just a fun holiday event. This year The Wharf’s Anchor Campaign is hoping to bring joy to local children. A donation march at the ice-skating rink will benefit Toys for Tots.
The holiday fun started early with Photos with Santa at The Wharf Store but there is so much more in store.

Photos with Santa
Jolly Claus has checked his list already — twice, actually — so make sure you are on your best behavior when you snap a frame-worthy photo. You can bring your letter to him and share your must-have toys and joys, then capture the moment to remember forever.

Ice Skating
What: Grab a pair of skates and glide or fall around the indoor ice rink.

Christmas Tree Lighting
What: Join the city of Orange Beach for the lighting of the tree. The annual event includes Santa arriving on a firetruck.
When: Tuesday, Nov. 28, 5:30 p.m.

Holiday SPECTRA Laser Light Experience
What: Enjoy the special show all season long. The spectacle will celebrate the joyous season with timeless tunes and classic sing-a-longs.

Holly Days on Main Festival
What: Hosted by the Coastal Alabama Business Chamber, the Holly Days on Main has quickly become a staple event during the holiday season. The fourth year will once again bring local vendors selling their wares, musical performances from local students, an art showcase and the lighted boat parade.
When: Dec. 9-10, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Kids Confetti Drop
What: For those who do not want to or can’t stay up till midnight, the Kids Confetti Drop is a fun, family-friendly way to ring in the New Year. Enjoy a live DJ, activities, performances and confetti cannons.
When: Sunday, Dec. 31, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Reelin’ in the New Year
What: The kids are off to bed and the grown-ups take over The Wharf for the annual Reelin’ in the New Year. While the event includes family-friendly activities there is more adult-centered fun happening until the marlin drops at midnight. The night is capped off with a fireworks display.
