George Earl LaRue Sr., 94, died Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 with several loving family members by his side.
He lived in Daphne for the past 4 1/2 years following time in Louisville, Ky., and Orlando, Fla. He was the owner of G.E. LaRue & Sons Wallcovering Company for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Laura Anderson LaRue and Hazel Marlman LaRue; and one grandson, J. C. Bahm.
Survivors include six children, George E. “Joe” LaRue Jr. and Barbara Sue LaRue, both of Louisville, Larry E. LaRue of Chipley, Fla., Janie D. Bradley of Jacksonville, Fla., Renee M. Von Roenn of Boulder, Colo., and Laurie L. Reddinger of Daphne; step-children, Brian Marlman, Pam Radcliff, Kimberly Mink and Adam Marlman of Orlando, Fla.; sister, Ana Mae Powell of Louisville; 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, other relatives and friends.
Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. with a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25 at the Eagles Nest International Church in Louisville, Ky. Burial and graveside prayers will follow.
