George A. Gebhardt, 81, a native of Missouri and a resident of Fairhope, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at a local hospital.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Claire Lonergan Gebhardt.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathleen Gebhardt (Margaret Valentine) of Montclair, N.J., June Marie Hanko of Fairhope and Kelly (Ron) Plocher of Yorkville, Ill.;
son, John Gebhardt of Ventura, Calif.; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial mass and visitation was held Saturday, Feb. 9 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Odyssey Hospice, 2800 Dauphin St., Suite 103, Mobile, AL 36606.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Fairhope.
