Daisy Garrett, 95, a native of Albertville and resident of Belforest, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007.
She moved to Belforest as a child and married Malcolm E. Garrett July 1929. She was a homemaker except during World War II, when she worked at Brookley Field.
She was a long time member of the Belforest Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm E. Garrett; and a brother, James M. Beck.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat (Bill) Bagby; two sons, James "Mackie" (Nelda) Garrett and Joseph C. (Ruth) Garrett of Belforest; seven grandchildren, Craig Garrett of Belforest, Karen (Scott) Clements of Belforest, Margaret Garrett of Marrietta, Ga., Susan (Clyde) Dunbar of Belforest, Scott Bagby of Marrietta, Ga., Lynn (Jim) McWhorter of Mobile and Jeff Garrett of Mobile; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Morisani, Carl and Sarah Wade, Caz Earnest, Matt and Jordan McWhorter; great-great-grandchild, Stephen Morisani III; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22 from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Belforest Community Cemetery.
