Silas Coma Garrett IV, 61, of Gulf Shores died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007 at a local hospital.
He was born July 13, 1946 in Florence, was a resident of Gulf Shores for 16 years where he was a member of Lagoon Bapitst Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Electra Jones Garrett and Silas Coma Garrett III.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Joyner Garrett of Gulf Shores; two daughters, Melanie (John) Purvis of Foley and Emily (Brandon) Turner of Elberta; son, Henry Garrett Presnell of Wetumpka; sister, Pam (Charlie) Thompson of Norcross, Ga.; four grandchildren, Garrett Turner, Brooklyn Purvis, Molly Beth and Tyler Presnell.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Pine Rest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Timothy Skipper officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Lagoon Baptist Church Building Fund, 17867 Highway 180, Gulf Shores, AL 36542.
