Posted

On May 21, the Magnolia Springs Garden Club will hold a Spring Luncheon and fundraiser featuring James Farmer, Editor-At-Large for Southern Living magazine. Farmer is an author, gardener, floral and interior designer, and cook and garden to table lifestyle expert.

His books include “A Time to Plant,” “Sip and Savor,” “Porch Living and Wreaths for All Seasons,” to name a few. He is also the National Spokesperson for the American Camellia Society.

Growing up on a Georgia farm, he learned how to bring farm-to-table as a lifestyle. With his passion for gardening , Farmer began a successful business and is recognized throughout the south where a “James Farmer Party” is a must have.

Join the group for lunch at the historic Magnolia Springs Community Hall on the corner of Magnolia Springs Highway (County Road 49) and Oak Street. Events will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a book signing and refreshments on the porch of the community hall followed by lunch at noon and Farmer's presentation, “A Time to Plant.” Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase signed books after the luncheon.

For more information on James Farmer, visit his website at www.JamesFarmer.com. For tickets and luncheon information, contact Nancy Gaines at 251-965-3751. Tickets are $30 and seating is limited.
