Carolyn Fulton,  71, a native of Saucier, Miss., a longtime resident of Gulfport, Miss., and a resident of Spanish Fort, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009.

She was a member of Spanish Fort United Methodist Church; a graduate of Perkinston High School in 1956 and Perkinston Jr. College in Perkinston, Miss., in 1958.

Dispite being diagnosed in 2007 with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) she maintained a positive and compassionate spirit that affected everyone she came in contact with.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Velma Rouse; and a sister, Shirley Brown.

Survivors include her husband, Walter R. Fulton of Spanish Fort;  daughter, Pamela (Bo) Britain of Spanish Fort; and four grandchildren, Jack, Sam, Nate and Ella of Spanish Fort.

Visitation begins at 2 p.m. with A Celebration of Life service at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at  Spanish Fort United Methodist Church.
