Friends, fun and learning about how God has given us a spirit filled life, forgiven our sins and loved us unconditionally. That is just a little of what the children the children who attended Shepherd of the Bay’s Vacation Bible School Day Camp, Lillian from June 18-22 learned.
During the weeklong event, the children also went to Camp Dixie for a day, to enjoy the camp’s facilities and also to swim. While there, they enjoyed a picnic lunch. This has been about the 4th year that Camp Dixie’s Traveling
Vacation School Program has come to Shepherd of the Bay. And, each year God has blessed us with college trained youth counselors, and lots of children to teach the love of God to.
On Thursday night, June 21, the children performed songs they learned during the week, put on skits and afterwards enjoyed an ice cream social for all the campers, their families and guests.
As in Ephesians 4:4-6: “There is one body and one spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all of all, who is above and through all and in all.”
