BOULDER, Colo. - Fans of Fresh Produce’s colorful, laid-back fashions are snapping up coastal-inspired designs at liquidation discounts thanks to store-closing sales now underway at 12 Fresh Produce stores in six states.
Run by Tiger Capital Group, the strategic sales are geared toward helping Fresh Produce’s new owners focus on the brand’s remaining retail locations and online store, as well as its wholesale business.
Boulder-based Fresh Produce filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on April 4. Earlier this month, a bankruptcy court judge approved the purchase of Fresh Produce’s assets at auction by Blue Stripe LLC, an investment group that includes the original founders of Fresh Produce and a group of passionate brand enthusiasts. After closing the 12 stores in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina over the next 60 days, the chain will continue to operate 15 stores around the country.
“Fresh Produce is known for selling vibrantly colorful fashions and original prints for women and children,” said Bob DeAngelis of Tiger Capital Group. “The store closing sales represent a fantastic opportunity for bargain-conscious shoppers—just in time for the beginning of summer. Inventory will not be replenished in these stores, so we urge shoppers to come in early for the best selection.”
Billed as “feel-good” fashions that put tourists and non-tourists alike in a vacation state of mind, the available apparel includes tops, tunics, sweatshirts, jackets, skirts, dresses, shorts, pants, graphic t-shirts and more.
All fixtures in the 12 stores are also being offered for sale during the 60-day event, DeAngelis noted, adding that it will be “business as usual” in the chain’s 15 other locations and online at https://freshproduceclothes.com.
The selected store closing sales are underway during normal store hours at the following locations:
