Oliver "Buddy" Floyd Freeman Jr. was a lifelong resident of Spanish Fort.
He was a loving husband, father, and brother. He enjoyed a long career as a Maritime engineer captain.
He was a generous man of time and gifts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Ruth Freeman, and two brothers, James Freeman and Hugh Freeman Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Freeman; three daughters, Dana (Steve) Bauer, Candice (Mann) Nolan and Ann (Dennis) Broschart; three granddaughters, Marie Bauer, Miranda Farmer and Bethany Freeman; honorary grandson, Roger Huckle; four brothers, Robert (Elizabeth) Freeman, Glenn (Joyce) Freeman, Eugene (Barbara) Freeman and Harry (Pam) Freeman; sisters-in-law, Liz Freeman and Elaine Freeman; many nieces, nephews, friends and family he loved dearly.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 16 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 at Eastern Shore Baptist Church with the Rev. Grant Barber and the Rev. Pat Dulaney officiating.
Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Covenant Hospice, 6475 Van Buren St., Suite 201, Daphne, AL. 36526.
