A free community shred and electronics recycling event is scheduled for April 18 at The Wharf, offering residents a convenient way to safely dispose of sensitive documents and outdated devices.
Heather Loper & Associates at Keller Williams Alabama Gulf Coast will host the 4th annual Earth Day Community Shred & Electronics Recycling Event from 8 a.m. to noon in the Orange Beach Event Center parking lot.
The drive-up event is open to the public with no appointment required. Participants can drop off items without leaving their vehicles, streamlining the process while promoting both security and sustainability.
Residents are encouraged to bring old documents for secure shredding to help protect personal and financial information. Outdated electronics will also be accepted for recycling, helping divert materials from landfills and reduce environmental impact.
The event draws participants from across Baldwin County, Mobile County, Pensacola and nearby communities. Organizers say the annual effort supports broader Earth Day initiatives by encouraging responsible disposal practices and reducing household clutter.
