Frederick Centanne, 93, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at a Santa Rosa County, Fla., hospital.
He was a native of Gary, Ind., and a lifelong resident of Perdido. He was a retired employee of L&N Railroad, a veteran of World War II and attended the Perdido United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Lorraine Centanne; his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Joan Everett and Beverly Godwin, both of Perdido; four grandchildren, Tracey and George Hendericks of Brewton, Tina Marmolejo of Daphne, Shawn Irle of Bay Minette and Kevin and Fabiola Irle of Theodore; eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Helen Courtney of Perdido.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4 at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Dyal officiating. Burial will follow at Perdido Baptist Cemetery.
