Joseph “Joe” F. Fram Sr. 86, a longtime resident of Fairhope, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007.
Born March 30, 1921 in Methuen, Mass., Fram and his wife Adele owned and operated Fram’s Southside Market for over 35 years in Fairhope.
He was also a Marine Corp veteran serving in World War II where he received the Presidential Unit Citation for his service in Guadalcanal. He also served an additional four years in the Marine Reserves.
He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Adele, and son, Joseph Andrew Fram Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Don) Davis of Fairhope, Leslie (Lanny West) Fram of Atlanta; son, Steven (Vicky) Fram of Mobile; grandchildren, Steven Davis and Morgan Fram; brother Tommy (Prissy) Fram of Methuen, Mass.; and daughter-in-law, Kim Fram of Fairhope.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17 at St Lawrence Catholic Church, Fairhope.
The family requests memorial donations be made to a favorite charity.
