Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Department and Gulf Shores Utilities have entered into a joint venture project to improve the community’s fire protection and water service in environmentally sensitive areas. The current project, shown under way in the photo, was recently completed along Veterans Road and Fish House Road. The 3800 feet of waterline installed required over 1000 feet of directional boring in order to avoid disturbing the federally protected wetland areas.
