Editor,
The year 2007 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of The Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education. The school, which continues to operate using the philosophy of Marietta Johnson here in Fairhope, as well as the Marietta Johnson Museum will host various festivities throughout the year to celebrate the Centennial.
An effort is being made to locate all former living students of the Marietta Johnson School so that they can be notified of the Reunion Weekend planned for Oct. 5-8. If any of your readers are former students of the Organic School, or if they are aware of the addresses of other former students, they are encouraged to contact the Marietta Johnson Museum Director Maggie Mosteller at (251) 990-8601. The museum is located at 10 S. School St. in the historic Bell Building on Faulkner Community College Campus in Fairhope.
Thank you for helping us celebrate this special occasion,
