LOXLEY, Ala. — Loxley Police are taking video evidence from a school bus to be analyzed by the FBI in Mobile in relation to an attempted kidnapping incident occurring at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17 at Flying K Road in Loxley.

Lt. Doug Phillips said as 11-year-old Brittany Wilson got off the bus at the west end of Flying K Road, a mid to late 80’s model multi-colored blue Ford or Chevy conversion van began following her. Soon after they began following her, two of the men got out and began chasing her on foot.

Phillips said she was able to run to her house and got away from them and when the men saw a car, they got back into the van and drove away. No description has been given of the men who chased her.

“She was the last person to get off the bus so no other children or adults saw the men. We are going to send the footage today to the FBI and see if they can enhance it enough to get us a license plate number. This appears to be an isolated incident as we have had no other complaints or reports from anyone in the area,” Phillips said.

This incident will continue to be under investigation until more information can be obtained, Phillips said.
