FOLEY, Alabama - Two former Foley High School football players will soon begin professional football careers in the National Football League.
University of Alabama senior safety Robert Lester and junior offensive tackle DJ Fluker, both Foley graduates, hope to be drafted by teams in New York on April 25 at the 2013 NFL Draft.
Lester had 14 career interceptions and played for three BCS National Championship teams at Alabama. Fluker, who played in the U.S. Army All-American game as a senior at Foley, made 36 career starts at Alabama, including two starts at tackle in Alabama’s back-to-back BCS National Championship teams in 2011 and 2012.
