FOLEY, Alabama - Foley senior Brittney Davis joined her head coach Sally Jeter in the Foley High School 1,000-point club on Tuesday night.
Davis scored a team-high 30 points on Tuesday against Spanish Fort and finished the night with 1,016 points in her Foley career.
“I knew she was going to do it a couple months ago,” Jeter said. “I’m extremely proud of her. That’s a very rare thing. She is only the fifth one in Foley history to do it.”
Jeter was the last Foley player to reach 1,000 points as a student at FHS in 1997. She finished her Foley career with 1,299 points.
“She has earned everything she has gotten. I’ve never seen anyone work harder than her. Brittney is a special kid, a special player. One of the hardest working players I’ve ever been around.”
Davis and the Lady Lions host Fairhope on Friday at 6 p.m. in Class 6A Area 3 play.
