The Foley Woman’s Club hosted its 14th Annual Mad Hatter’s Event on Thursday, March 14, inviting the community to come out and show off their best hats to celebrate this year’s In The Garden theme. The event kicked off with a hat parade where everyone could show off their headwear, while the three judges, Frances Holk-Jones, Louann Schell, and Ralph Hellmich, kept watch for contenders in three categories: Most Creative Theme, Wackiest, and Most Glamorous. Lunch was catered by l.a. barbeque, and entertainment was provided by Bo Grant, who toured with The Planters for more than 15 years. A large raffle took place with multiple prizes, along with a Pot-of-Gold drawing and a silent auction. Club members put on a fashion show featuring collections found at Beach House Boutique, Chico’s at Tanger Mall, and Dillards at Eastern Shore.
