FOLEY — Since its beginning in 1923, the Foley Woman's Club has helped to support the library and other cultural, civil and philanthropic work in our community.

And they are continuing to make a difference 92 years later in organizations around our great town.

At its October meeting, President Barbara McCamish, along with Gigi Baraco, (Ways and Means chair person) gave out 27 donations to  deserving organizations.

The ladies had a wonderful time together, sharing a beautiful table full of yummy refreshments and good conversation. They enjoyed meeting their guests and getting to know them and our new members.

The November meeting will be at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall on Nov. 2.

It will center around Holiday Fashions. It's hard to believe that we are already in the Holiday Season, so come ready for some cool days and some great Holiday Ideas.

The club had a chance to hear from each of our organizations, a brief  summary on how their donations were used.

“It was very inspiring to hear about the wonderful work they are all doing,” McCamish said.
