Foley woman arrested for Aggravated Child Abuse

A Foley woman was arrested and charged with a Class A felony after authorities said her actions caused serious injury to a young child.

On Tuesday, March 3, the Foley Police Department took 28-year-old Allyiha Takia Presley into custody on one count of Aggravated Child Abuse. Authorities said the case began when the Department of Human Resources and mandatory health reporters notified Foley detectives that a child was receiving treatment for injuries.

An investigation determined that Presley’s willful and reckless actions caused a child under six years old to suffer serious bodily harm.

Presley is being held at Baldwin County Corrections on a $75,000 bond.
