Hundreds of seasonal visitors gathered Tuesday, Jan. 13, for Foley’s annual Snowbird Coffee at the Foley Civic Center, an event held each year on the second Tuesday in January.

About 700 snowbirds attended the morning gathering, which gave participants the chance to meet with city representatives and learn about public safety, the library, the Senior Center and other municipal services. Visitors also received information on local attractions including the Caboose Club and the Art Center.

Participants said the event offered a unique opportunity to explore Foley while connecting with residents and fellow winter visitors. Organizers distributed welcome bags filled with coupons, information and other items to help attendees make the most of their visit.

A highlight of the event was the annual scavenger hunt through downtown Foley, giving participants a chance to win more than 60 prizes. The hunt encouraged visitors to tour the city, discover hidden gems, visit local shops and enjoy the adventure.

The Snowbird Coffee is presented each year by the city of Foley, the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Foley.
