A touring tribute festival rooted in the sounds of 1990s alternative rock is set to take the stage this summer at OWA Theatre.

Alt Rock Fest will arrive in Foley on July 18 at 8 p.m. at the venue located at 101-N South OWA Blvd., bringing a lineup of tribute acts dedicated to some of the genre’s most influential bands.

Described as a celebration of “the guitars, the grit, and the anthems that still move us,” the festival has expanded beyond its origins as a single-night event into a multi-city tour that regularly sells out. Organizers say the event is designed for longtime fans as well as newcomers exploring the era’s music.

The Foley show will feature performances by Foozer, a tribute to Foo Fighters and Weezer; Nameless Nameless, honoring Nirvana; Siamese Dream, dedicated to Smashing Pumpkins; and Frizzle Fries, a Primus tribute act.

Tickets range from $42.13 to $102.12, including fees, and are available at https://ci.ovationtix.com/35683/production/1274817. Additional event details can be found at https://altrockfest.com/foley-alt-rock-fest.

Alt Rock Fest falls under the performing arts category and highlights the continued cultural influence of alternative rock, a genre that helped shape mainstream music in the 1990s and continues to resonate with audiences today.
