FOLEY – On May 12, the Foley Police Department responded to a domestic violence incident at Jack’s Mobile Home Park on Hwy. 98 West at approximately 3:05 p.m.

According to reports, a man had pointed a gun at his girlfriend inside of their home.

Upon arriving, Foley Police found that a female victim and her children had already left the residence and sought shelter at a neighbor’s home. The woman informed authorities that her partner was inside the residence with a gun to his head.

Police established a perimeter and evacuated the residents of neighboring homes. After several hours of attempting to establish communication with the suspect, it was determined that he was not going to cooperate. As a result, the Foley SWAT team was activated.

After convincing the suspect to exit the residence, he was arrested without injury to anyone involved. The suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Juvenal Aguilar Morales. He was charged with one count of domestic violence menacing and one outstanding warrant for domestic violence harassment.
The case remains under investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact the Foley Police Department.
