Foley senior Harrison Knight was announced as a member of Team Alabama for the 36th annual Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic set for Dec. 10 at South Alabama’s Hancock Whitney Stadium.
Knight, an uncommitted three-star recruit listed at 6’ 2” and 185 pounds, holds offers from Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, South Alabama, Southern Mississippi and Troy.
In eight games for the Lions this season, Knight has registered 50 receptions for 524 receiving yards and six touchdowns, including one on a bobbling catch in the corner of the end zone in Foley’s muddy, 14-0 win over Baldwin County in Week 2.
The Lion receiver is part of the star-studded roster announced by the Alabama High School Athletic Association Monday that features 16 athletes with pledges to SEC schools with eight more committed to other Power 5 programs. Knight is one of 11 uncommitted athletes at the time.
He’ll be catching passes from the likes of quarterbacks Christopher Vizzina from Briarwood Christian (Clemson commit), Ethan Crawford from Tuscaloosa County (Southern Miss commit), and Earl Woods from Hueytown (Jacksonville State commit).
Team Alabama will be coached by Auburn’s Keith Etheredge, whose formerly top-ranked Tigers squad just suffered its first loss of the season to the Central Phenix City Red Devils 38-17 Friday night.
The Alabamian squad owns a 24-11 overall lead in the series but Mississippi has won four of the last seven. Alabama is on a two-game win streak with a 19-7 win in 2020 and a 20-0 win last year which has snapped a three-game roll for Mississippi.
