FOLEY — The Foley Public Library is joining public libraries across the state in participating in “Snapshot Day: One Day in the Life of Alabama Public Libraries” on Tuesday, August 11 to show how important public libraries and library systems are to the state of Alabama.
On Aug. 11, the Foley Public Library will compile statistics, patron comments, photographs, and other data chronicling a typical library day. The results at our library will be added to those of public libraries across Alabama to show how libraries provide invaluable services to Alabama citizens.
The Foley Public Library will provide small prizes to anyone who lets us take their photo and who fills out a comment card. Also, everyone who allows us to photograph them and who fills out a comment card will have their name go into a drawing for a larger prize basket to be awarded the following day.
“Snapshot Day: One Day in the Life of Alabama Public Libraries” is a project of the Alabama Public Library Service. Everyone is invited to participate during this important day.
