FOLEY, Ala. —At Monday night’s city council meeting, Foley Police Chief David Wilson presented four more recently hired police officers to the Mayor, city government, and public.
Wilson stated that these four were a good mix of the applicants that are trying to come here from all over the state and other adjoining states.
The four officers successfully passed a written exam, oral board, polygraph and deep background check that included Foley police investigators traveling to their home police departments and interviewing police officials and co-workers.
The candidates then undergo a final executive interview with the police chief before being hired.
The four officers hired are: Michael Powers — a veteran officer from Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Arkansas; Eric Holland — a veteran officer from Springdale Police Department, Arkansas; Richard Humpfrey — a veteran officer from Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Tennessee; and Carlos Lizzarraga — a local Foley resident who recently graduated from the police academy with honors.
Foley Municipal Judge Mary Murchison then administered the Oath of Office to the four police officers who also had their families present.
