Foley Municipal Court Amnesty Program announced

Posted

FOLEY, Ala. - The city of Foley is offering an Amnesty Day on Aug. 23 at 1 p.m.

The Amnesty program provides an opportunity for those with certain municipal court warrants to clear their case without concern of being arrested. Amnesty is offered to all individuals who have received traffic or parking tickets, failed to appear or pay fines and for whom warrants have been issued on the charges.

Anyone wishing to take advantage of this program may do so by contacting the municipal court. Persons may either appear in open court at the Foley Municipal Court located at 200 East Section Ave. on Aug. 23 or present themselves to the magistrate at the municipal court prior to that date. Individuals who have outstanding charges are encouraged to present themselves to the court on or before the above date to seek resolution to their case.

It is important to note that should an individual who has an outstanding warrant come into contact with law enforcement prior to taking advantage of this amnesty program is subject to immediate arrest.

For information concerning Amnesty Day procedure call the Court Clerk’s office at (251) 952-4086.
