Posted

Small business owners in Foley will have an opportunity to explore practical uses of artificial intelligence during an upcoming workshop designed to simplify the technology and make it accessible.

Foley Main Street will host a hands-on session titled “AI for Businesses” on Tuesday, May 5, at Riviera Utilities. The evening workshop will run from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and is aimed at helping local businesses understand how AI tools can save time and support growth.

The session will be led by Lindsay Schumacher, president of L. Schumacher Consulting, a marketing firm serving businesses across the Gulf Coast. Schumacher has worked extensively with companies to build their digital presence and will introduce attendees to foundational AI tools, including ChatGPT.

Participants will learn how to create effective prompts to generate content for social media, websites and search engine optimization, with a focus on improving efficiency and communication. The workshop is structured to be approachable for beginners while offering practical strategies business owners can implement immediately.

A light dinner will be served during the session.

Registration is free for Foley Main Street supporters. The cost is $15 for businesses located in the downtown Foley area that are not current supporters and $25 for businesses outside the downtown district that are not supporters. Seating is limited and early registration is encouraged.

Businesses can register online at https://forms.gle/Ckrp7ppTek8Di6m47.
