FOLEY – Foley’s Lady Lions head into the 2010 volleyball season with their third head coach in as many years.

Jessica Allred, who spent the previous two seasons coaching at Rome High School in Georgia, takes over the Lady Lion program for the coming season. Allred is a former University of West Alabama volleyball player.

The Lady Lions return six seniors to compete in Class 6A Area 3 against Fairhope, Robertsdale and Daphne. Megan Haber, Summer Collins, Mercedes Moreno, Taelor Slota, Lais Bacelar and KiKi Youngblood are back for their senior seasons. Haber was an All-County selection last season.

“We are very good with team cohesion,” Allred said of her 2010 squad. “They know how each other works, and they know each other’s strengths and weaknesses. They are also good with communication.”
