FOLEY, Ala. - Foley High School students will perform the well-known play-production "Grease" on April 1, 2 and 3 at the Foley Civic Center.

The play will begin at 7 p.m. on April 1 and 2 and at 2 p.m. on April 3. Doors will open to attendees 30 minutes prior to start-time. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $8 for students, and children age 4 and younger can get in free. All proceeds will benefit the FHS Drama Club.

Stephanie Codi, FHS theater and english teacher and co-director for the play, said this performance will serve as the major production the school does for the spring semester.

"When I came in, the theater department was in poor shape," she said. "We've been turning it around. We're hoping by next year we can do competition theater in the fall, where we will compete against other theater groups. We'll still have our big spring production, too."

Codi said auditions were held before Christmas to determine the roles. She said the cast list has not been finalized yet.

The production's other director is D.D. Andersen.
