FOLEY, Ala. - Residents will get the chance Monday to voice their opinion on whether adding restrooms to the Graham Creek Preserve is a sound idea.
The city of Foley released the council meeting agenda for Monday night's meeting, which will begin at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall, and one of the public hearings states, "Public hearing to provide citizens an opportunity to express their views on the recreational needs of their community regarding the construction of a Comfort Station at Graham Creek Nature Preserve."
Leslie Lassiter, city environmental manager, said the city must receive input from residents before applying for the specific grant which would allow the addition of restrooms.
"It's basically to improve recreational areas," Lassiter said of the grant. "We're looking at adding restroom facilities at the preserve if we receive the grant."
The grant could be used for other things, Lassiter said.
