ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Five students from Robertsdale High School participated in the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Alabama State Leadership Conference held April 16-17 at the Sheraton Birmingham Hotel.
This was the largest conference ever held, said FBLA Advisor Jeremy Stanford, with nearly 2,000 students from across the state participating in individual, team and chapter event competitions.
The five students from Robertsdale all competed in individual competitions, including: Rodney Phillips, first place, Insurance and Risk Management; Elaina Henson, fourth place, Public Speaking-I; Shelby Burts, participated in Public Speaking-I; Hannah Wallce, fourth place, Introduction to Business; and Skylar Callaway, participated in Introduction to Business.
Students who placed at the State Convention qualified to attend the FBLA National Leadership Conference, which will be held June 29 through July 2 in Chicago.
