Felicia Bagley has been selected by her peers at Daphne East Elementary School as Teacher of the Year. Bagley serves on the School Wide Theme Committee, the Kindergarten Registration Committee, the 100th Day of School Committee and the Kindergarten Graduation Committee at Daphne East.

Bagley wanted to be a teacher since she was in the second grade. Her ninth grade English teacher encouraged her to follow the dream of teaching. She has been teaching for 11 years and has taught kindergarten for eight years. "The kindergarten students touch me in so many different ways,” Bagley said. “I love being the first teacher to witness them reading for the first time. Kindergarten is the foundation for all learning in school."
