SPANISH FORT, Ala. — Blakeley Park observes the fall weather and foliage with its first Mobile-Tensaw Delta boat excursion of the new season Saturday aboard its Delta Explorer.

Seating on the 50-passenger U.S. Coast Guard licensed pontoon tour boat is already about a third full with advance reservations from visitors who had been waiting for the cooler weather.

The two-hour guided tour leaves from the Blakeley Park dock on the Tensaw River at 9:30 a.m., goes north, crosses the wildlife rich Delta, continues south to the Mobile Bay Causeway then turns north to loop back to the Blakeley dock.

Tickets are $22 for adults, $12 for children 6 to 12 and free to children 4 to 5. They may be purchased at the park on the day of the tour if seating is still available or may be reserved in advance by calling 626-5581 and using major credit cards.

Information or rates and charter trip is available by calling 251-626-0798.

Blakeley State Park is located on State Highway 225 about 4.5 miles north of its intersection with U.S. 31 at Spanish Fort.
