ROBERTSDALE, Ala. – What a difference a half makes. The Robertsdale Golden Bears would go scoreless in the final two quarters of play while the Faith Academy Rams scored their first points of the game—all 21 of them, in the second half of play at J.D. Sellers Stadium on Friday night.

The second half surge sent visiting Faith Academy home with a 21-10 win.

The regular season finale saw Robertsdale score on an opening possession, 80-yard drive with Sammy Tolbert putting the ball in the end-zone for a 7-0 lead following a Colby Norman extra point.

Special teams made their presence known early in the second quarter with a 34-yard Rams field goal attempt blocked by Garrett Gartman.

Later in the quarter, Faith Academy would force a turnover following a high snap, taking possession of the ball on the Bears 26 yard line. The Rams themselves would lose the ball one play later, setting up a 10-yard Golden Bears drive resulting in a 40-yard field goal. The Golden Bears would go to the lockers leading the Rams 10-0.

Hopes of a 5-5 season for the Golden Bears ended with the halftime show as Carlos James Jr. scored on a 62-yard interception return that was fumbled and recovered in the end-zone.

Faith Academy monopolized the clock on their next possession, a seven minute, 12-play, 72-yard drive ending in a 7-yard scoring run for Charles Drinkard with seconds left in the third quarter.

The Rams were greedy with the clock in the fourth quarter as well, with a nine-play drive consuming over four minutes and 86-yards, ending with a ten-yard TD for Drinkard.

With 2:40 remaining, Norman would set his Golden Bears up on their 36-yard line on his final return for the night only to have a Vaughn pass picked off, allowing the Rams to run out the clock. Norman had three returns totaling 81-yards for the night.

The Golden Bears and the Rams both end the season 6-4.
