FAIRHOPE, Ala. - According to a report received this afternoon by the Baldwin County Health Department from the City of Fairhope Utilities, an electrical problem a sewage lift station on Woodland Drive overflowed, resulting in 350 gallons of untreated sewage being discharged into Fly Creek. The health department urges residents to exercise caution if using this water body for recreational purposes. Also, thoroughly cook any fish or seafood caught near by and wash hands after handling fish or seafood.
