FAIRHOPE, Alabama—The second-highest ranking employee at the Fairhope parks and recreation department resigned last week.
Elizabeth Chandler, former recreation center director, turned in her resignation the middle of last week, according to city staff.
“That’s correct,” parks and rec department director Tom Kuhl said today, confirming Chandler’s resignation. He declined further comment.
She earned approximately $40,000 annually at the time of her resignation and has worked for the city since April 1, 2009, according to city records.
Chandler could not be reached for comment by deadline.
