He made at least three triples in 17 games and the Racers won 15 of those contests.

As a Pirate in Fairhope, Brown was an all-state player in his final two years where he averaged 24 points and 11 rebounds per game as a junior. He finished with 2,065 career points in high school and was a finalist for Mr. Basketball. Brown’s nine-three game against Murphy also set a Fairhope High School record.

At Murray State, Brown finished seventh all-time in scoring (1,915 points), fifth in assists (407), seventh in steals (157), 11th in made field goals (622) and 13th in blocked shots (68).

He joined Glen Green (1979-83) and Isaac Spencer (1997-2001) as the only three Racers to eclipse 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 350 assists. He matched Spencer as the only other player to register more than 1,900 points, 500 rebounds and 400 assists.
