The Fairhope Lions Club will host its 20th annual golf tournament Oct. 4 at Quail Creek Golf Course in Fairhope, raising money for community outreach programs and service activities planned for the coming year.
Proceeds from the tournament will support Ecumenical Ministries, Prodisee Pantry and the Alabama Free Clinic. The Fairhope Lions Club also provides support to Camp Seale Harris for children with diabetes, Camp Rap-A-Hope for children with cancer, Leader Dogs for the Blind and other organizations that assist people in need throughout Baldwin County.
The Fairhope Lions Club has served Baldwin County for 63 years. Its community service includes providing eye exams and prescription glasses to people in need through partnerships with Ecumenical Ministries, the Alabama Free Clinic, Prodisee Pantry and Walmart.
The club also collected more than 3,500 pairs of used glasses last year for refurbishing and distribution to people in need.
The annual golf tournament provides funding for these and other service efforts. The event will use a Scramble format and cost $125 per player or $200 for a player and spouse. Registration includes golf, lunch, beverages, mulligans, awards, a putting contest and a silent auction.
Golfers will also have the opportunity to win prizes for holes-in-one on two Par 3 holes. Terry Thompson Chevrolet will provide a 2026 Chevrolet Equinox for one hole-in-one, while Dream Vacations will provide a $25,000 cash award for another.
Registration and lunch will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m.
Players can register by calling Quail Creek Golf Course at (251) 990-0240 or online at www.fairhopelionsclub.com.
