Fairhope Lions Club Golf Tournament set for Oct. 2

Quail Creek Golf Course to host Lions’ 16th annual tournament to benefit the community

Posted

The Fairhope Lions Club will be hosting its 16th annual golf tournament Sunday, Oct. 2, to help fund local community outreach programs and service activities for the coming year.

Monies raised from the tournament help support Ecumenical Ministries, Prodisee Pantry, and the Alabama Free Clinic. Our Club also supports Camp Seale Harris for children with diabetes, Camp Rap-A-Hope for children with cancer, Leader Dogs for the Blind, and countless other organizations that help people in need in Baldwin County.

The Fairhope Lions Club has been serving Baldwin County for 59 years. Each year, the Fairhope Club provides eye exams and glasses for needy recipients through partnerships with Ecumenical Ministries, Alabama Free Clinic, and Walmart. Additionally, last year the Club collected over 2,000 pairs of used glasses for refurbishing and distribution to those in need.

Funding for all of these activities comes from the golf tournament that will be held Oct. 2 at Quail Creek Golf Course in Fairhope.

It’s a Scramble format that costs $100 per player ($150.00 for Player & Spouse) and includes golf, lunch, drinks, cash awards, a putting contest, and silent auction. A FREE 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, provided by Terry Thompson Chevrolet, and a $25,000 Cash Award provided by Dream Vacations will be offered for holes-in-one on two Par 3 holes.

Registration and lunch are at noon, followed by a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.

Golfers can register by calling Quail Creek Golf Course at 251-990-0240, or online at www.fairhopelionsclub.com.
