FAIRHOPE, Ala. - Legal fees in the city’s general fund rose sharply in 2011, leading to a proposed increase in next year’s budget of almost twice this year’s amount.
As of June, with three months left in the current fiscal year, attorney’s fees were $382,572, an increase of 43 percent over the 2011 budget of $265,840, according to the most recent financial information.
