Dr. Christine Bogar, the assistant director of student services, says, “The Fairhope Film Series is a great example of how the university and the local community work together to provide on-going, quality programs for us all to enjoy. This series offers international films that are not available through commercial movie theaters, and it is a great alternative to the mainstream Hollywood genre.”
Movies featured this time include “Wordplay,” “Thank You for Smoking,” “Leonard Cohen: I’m Your Man,” “The Wind That Shakes the Barley,” “The Girl in the Café,” “The U.S. vs. John Lennon,” “Opal Dream,” “Colour Me Kubrick,” “Taking Sides,” “The History Boys,” “Conversations with Other Women” and “Fast Food Nation.”
