Fairhope Farmers Market returns with expanded spring schedule

Posted

The Fairhope Farmers Market will return this weekend with an expanded schedule, adding new opportunities for residents and visitors to shop local while enjoying live entertainment and family-friendly activities.

For the first time, the market will host Saturday morning events on the first Saturday of each month. The new markets are set for April 4, May 2 and June 6 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. They will be held behind the Fairhope Public Library at the corner of Bancroft Street and Magnolia Avenue.

The seasonal launch on April 4 comes just ahead of Easter, offering shoppers a timely chance to find fresh ingredients and seasonal goods for holiday meals and celebrations.

In addition to the new Saturday dates, the market will continue its traditional Thursday afternoon schedule beginning April 9. Thursday markets will run from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the season.

Each market will feature a variety of local vendors selling fresh produce, homemade goods and artisanal products. Organizers say visitors can also expect live music and activities designed for children, creating a community-focused atmosphere that draws families and supports area businesses.

The Fairhope Farmers Market has long served as a gathering place where residents can connect directly with farmers, growers and makers, reinforcing the region’s emphasis on locally sourced food and small business support.
