ORANGE BEACH — Acai lovers can get their fix in South Baldwin at Everbowl at The Wharf in Orange Beach.
The California-based chain has expanded its operations into Orange Beach after previously opening another storefront in Montgomery. Owner Karen Herfel said the shop gives her an opportunity to bring something new to the Baldwin County area from her home state of Arizona.
"Our family moved here a year and a half ago from Arizona, and we're huge acai bowl fans," Herfel said. "In Arizona, you can't drive a mile without having all sorts of different acai bowl options, and when we moved down here, we're like, 'Where's the acai shop?' So we were super excited to bring it to Orange Beach."
Everbowl offers patrons customizable superfood bowls with 11 different bases to choose from, along with toppings such as strawberries, blueberries, bananas, mangos and granola.
Besides the acai bowls, Everbowl also offers smoothies, matchas and iced coffee as well as its signature toast, with toppings ranging from avocado with diced tomatoes to bananas with peanut butter and chocolate.
Everbowl at The Wharf is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
