Evelyon Joyce Merritt, 77, of Mobile was called home on Sunday, June 30, 2013.
Joyce was a longtime resident of Fairhope, where she worked at the Fairhope Municipal Airport for many years, and also owned and operated Merritt’s TV with her husband, John C. Merritt.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Merritt; son, John Merritt; his children, John Jr., Robbie and Jocelyn Sue; and two great-grandchildren, Troy and Tyler, with another great-grandchild on the way.
Joyce was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, and she will be missed tremendously.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the Wolfe-Bayview chapel in Fairhope, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Memory Gardens in Fairhope.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Mobile.
